Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree

Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is a 2D adventure game inspired by Arabian and Middle Eastern mythology. Dive into an immersive underwater realm, explore diverse areas of Ma'een, restore the ocean's radiance, and uncover the secrets of an ancient mystery.

History

In 2021, co-founders Meaad Aflah and Muslih Alzahrani, based in Saudi Arabia, began working on Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree just before graduating from The Game Changers apprenticeship program. In 2022, they established Soft Stack and kicked off full-scale production. The studio was recognized as the Best Game Startup in the MENA region at the 2024 MENA Games Industry Awards. Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is expected to release in early 2025.
